"The second point is that this isn't an example of the above
phenomenon. There is no executable virus hidden in the JPEG. Near as I
can tell, Perrun isn't even a virus. It's a program file -- an EXE file --
that inserts code into JPEG files. Without the EXE file, nothing
happens. It only works if you're already infected with an extractor that
reads the code out of the images. This is worse than lame; it's stupid. I

So I stumbed across this the other day, failed to bookmark it, and then had to spend fifteen minutes googling like a rhesus monkey on crack to find it again. Dig it, the best color widgets I've found.
I never imagined that people would actually look at the baby pictures on this site, but the logs don't lie. You look. Consistently. And now I feel bad since the newest pix are about a year old. Well, it's not that I'm a bad dad, I've been taking pix the whole time mostly. But I haven't been posting them. So I decided to add a couple (a hundred and fifty actually) to the slide show.
Well, the good thing about being out of town on training is dining on expense account.
The Schmitt Homepage showed up in my referer log. As is my habit, I dropped by to see what was up. Wasn't I flattered when this mysterious Schmitt person listed me in the "cool people" category and described me as "consummate hacker and renaissance man of all things techno." That's gotta be the nicest thing anyone's said about me in a while.
It's been a while since I posted a mod, but then again it's been a while since I did one. So have a look at this.
