PHP 4.1.0 is out, and it features a major improvement in input methods which should have a very favorable impact on security. The register_globals is still on by default, but the new mechanism provides access to the user-supplied (and thus untrustable) data for admins who prefer to disable the register_globals behavior. Very cool stuff, and thanks to Shaun Clowes at securereality.com.au for shining his light on some of these issues.
I was really amazed at these ©Box cases. This is amazing industrial design. My whole conception has changed as a result of viewing these.
I fixed a really dumb bug in the javascript side of my theme chooser. I was referring to rules in the stylesheet incorrectly--I was not starting my count at zero. Today just happened to be the day it annoyed me enough to go ahead and fix it.
Well, my hosting provider installed MySQL for me to play with. So I have reimplemented my links page as a db-driven bookmark file. I have been a person who lived by the bookmark file for a long time now, and finally it can travel between browsers with me.
